Are you busier than friends?

Since most of us are busy today, the only social life we still have time for is emailing our friends. Relationships take time to grow, and our soul suffers when we allow ourselves to become too busy. Make time for friends in your life.

If you presently feel that you do not have sufficient friends in your life, one explanation may be to allow yourself to be too busy setting aside time for friendships you already have.

It takes effort and commitment to nurture and maintain friendships. Most of us have a laid-back attitude when painting a picture of ourselves and our busy schedule.

Trying to call your friends more regularly and accepting more invitations from others can quickly improve your social life!

Are there people you can call at the minute and receive a warm welcome? Are these people you can trust to help you in a crisis? Can you have a close discussion with them? Do you have fun when you are together? Are you happy to have them in your life?

If you haven’t seen many of them recently, is it because you’ve been busy? Have you grown apart? Was there an argument?

If the primary explanation for not connecting with people you already know is because you are too busy, take a good look at how you spend your time. Compare it with your actual values and life priorities. Does your active lifestyle bring you the quality of life you want?

If you’ve been busy with friends, why did this happen? Do you pursue materialistic toys in your life at the expense of relationships with other people? Have you allowed yourself to over-dedicate your time to not telling anyone “no”? Do you force yourself to do things that others can delegate? If so, why? Do you believe that everything depends on you?

Check that the way you currently spend your time accurately reflects your deep values and priorities. Make sure you schedule enough time for what matters to you.

If you need to maintain friends in your life, make room in your schedule and make room in your soul for them.
