Online dating can be fun. But do not neglect security and common sense when trying to connect with a partner. At the very least, beware of the following areas.
Protect your computer
Take care of your devices and systems before you enter the Internet field. You need to have a firewall and anti-virus protection for your email when you search and interact with websites online. At the very least, you may need these two solutions, which are provided free of charge to home computer users (i.e. not for commercial use):
Free Firewall Download: google search
Free Anti-Virus Download: google search
Protect yourself
Take care of yourself by choosing the correct dating sites. Find a reputable online dating service. How? Begin by asking somebody you know who have tried online dating, neighbours, co-workers, and others, and see which places they recommend. In addition, search for “online dating services” and keep a diary of their URLs or website links, fees, rules and regulations, complete contact information for each person, and other helpful information that may arouse your interest. Then compare each location. Only try places that you feel are safe. Avoid others.
So be careful. Arm your computer with the right tools and knowledge – and yourself!
